🎞️ The worst Marvel movie ever?
The Marvels had a rough box office opening, and got mixed reviews. Is the movie worth watching?
🎞️ The Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has been a box office juggernaut for over a decade, but Slate says that Marvel’s new movie “The Marvels” just had the worst MCU opening weekend ever. What's the deal?
🎞️ The NY Post thinks it's simple: The movie is awful! “The Marvels” is a new low for the MCU, with its convoluted plot and bland characters.
🎞️ But The Verge defended the movie: It's not perfect, but the film shines as one of the better post-“Endgame” Marvel films. The criticism feels misogynistic.
🎞️ And @moviesaretherapy agreed: Don't let the bad press dissuade you — it's pretty good for a Marvel movie!
🎞️ Hot Air thinks it's probably worth a watch, but the movie doesn't seem like it was able to pull Marvel out of its funk.
💵 What is money dysmorphia?
Money dysmorphia is a term for when your financial self-image doesn't match reality. It's complex — affecting spending, saving, and stress levels.
💵 Money dysmorphia is a distorted financial self-perception, similar to body dysmorphia. ABC News says it can affect your finances and decision-making.
💵 Why do people feel this way? One Redditor on r/FIREyFemmes thinks financial trauma could be to blame.
💵 But CNBC says money dysmorphia isn't just about fear. It's also about failing to plan for your future because you don't feel “rich enough”.
💵 On the other hand, maybe everyone's a little dysmorphic. The NYT reports that 65% of Americans find money a major source of stress.
💵 Either way, The Guardian offered some advice for people struggling with money dysmorphia: Don't let your fears hold you back from enjoying a little luxury.
