Who won the VP debate?

The Telegraph said JD Vance took the lead in the recent VP debate: The offered a warm, accomplished performance, contrasting with Tim Walz's missteps.

NY Post said both candidates drew criticism, though: Critics said Walz was clearly nervous and hard to watch. But onlookers weren't wowed by Vance, either.

And CNN says there was no clear winner: The results of a debate poll -- 51% for Vance and 49% for Walz -- fell within the margin of error.

On a different note, Hot Air thought the debate was a total snoozefest: The candidates stayed focused on policy, and neither Walz nor Vance landed a “knockout” blow to seal their win.

SNL vs. Spirit Halloween

Us Weekly: SNL's 50th season debut had a sketch poking fun at Spirit Halloween. The sketch mocked how the store pops up and disappears.

Cbr.com: Spirit Halloween had a cheeky response on social media -- it was a pic of a mock costume bag for an “Irrelevant 50-year-old TV show”.

Deadline: It was pretty funny -- the costume included “dated references, unknown cast members, and shrinking ratings”. Pretty good stuff from the company!

AOL: It's all fun and games. The original skit was tongue in cheek, so was the response. It's nice to see fun banter like this.

1) Israel escalates its military presence in Lebanon following an Iranian missile attack, as tensions rise.

2) A WWII U.S. bomb exploded at Miyazaki Airport, Japan, causing a shutdown and flight cancellations.

3) White House backs US port strike, potentially impacting various goods' shipments.

4) Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi announce they're expecting their second child together.
