Vance donut drama

The Independent: Trump's VP JD Vance suffered an awkward donut shop visit in Georgia. After the moment went viral, Vance admitted that his team messed up -- saying he felt “terrible” for the worker who was caught off guard.

Watch the donut shop situation unfold for yourself here.

NY Magazine: Vance is kinda right to blame his campaign. They clearly didn't prepare the staff for his arrival. Still, Vance conducted himself in a painfully awkward way.

This Redditor pinned the blame more firmly on Vance's team: The interaction wasn't live -- they could've chosen not to post it!

An NYT Op's take: The Vance-Trump team and the Harris-Walz team are vying hard to win over the battleground state of Georgia. It could swing either way

Beetlejuice sequel buzz

Tim Burton's “Beetlejuice” sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” premiered at the 2024 Venice Film Festival. Screen Rant says early reviewers found it to be a fun, nostalgic ride.

Time was one such impressed viewer: “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is a funny, silly return to form for Tim Burton.

Hollywood Reporter loved it, too: “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is a delightful sequel with Tim Burton back in top form

But Vanity Fair says “Beetlejuice“ should've stayed dead: Its sequel is disappointing with “limp humor”.

The Guardian was less harsh, though: “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is a nostalgic joyride…but it lacks fresh substance.
