✈️ US airdrops in Gaza

Is the US airdrop aid to Gaza a humanitarian breakthrough, or just a band-aid over deeper issues?

✈️ Biden announced that the US, in collaboration with Jordan, has initiated airdrops of aid into Gaza. He said the amount of aid dropped “is not nearly enough”, though.

✈️ Politico: Democrat lawmakers agreed. Though they championed the move as a “a great step forward”, they acknowledged the drops were far from enough.

✈️ But the WSJ was critical: Biden's Gaza aid strategy panders to Hamas, and unfairly pressures Israel.

✈️ Hot Air thinks that Hamas has forced Biden's hand. The group is hoarding aid, making the risky Gaza airdrops necessary.

🏀 Caitlin Clark goes pro

Caitlin Clark declared for the WNBA draft. Her decision stirred up excitement and debate on her impact and earnings potential.

🏀 Iowa standout Caitlin Clark has officially declared for the 2024 WNBA draft. CBS Sports says she's expected to be the No. 1 pick and could revitalize the Indiana Fever if selected.

🏀 The WSJ thinks Caitlin Clark's leap to the WNBA marks a game-changer for women's basketball. She'll also make a bunch of money with shoe deals and sponsorships.

🏀 But MarketWatch disagrees: Caitlin Clark might earn more by staying in college than joining the WNBA — the WNBA's pay scale is low.

🏀 USA Today says money aside, she has an incredible college legacy. It doesn't matter if she doesn’t end up winning a championship with Iowa.

🏀 But another USA today opinion is bummed — she could've had an insanely cool farewell tour, with so many sold out arenas.
