Lead in cinnamon

A 2024 report found lead contamination in 12 brands of cinnamon and spice powders. CNN says the heavy metal can pose a serious risk -- especially to children.

Read the Consumer Reports' complete findings here. It urged consumers to opt for trusted brands with lower lead levels.

Wait, how did the lead even get there? The NYT explains that the levels found in the cinnamon could be from contaminated soil -- or from machinery.

But NAC Foods hit back at the report -- arguing that their vendors reports showed the lead levels “comply with all federal and international law”.

Still, Food & Wine says your choice of cinnamon matters. They list big-name brands with lower contamination levels here.

Should Tua retire?

Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa suffered yet another concussion. The Athletic says many former NFL players think it's time for him to quit.

Barstool Sports agrees -- It's his 4th concussion in 2 years! He needs to prioritize his health so he can be with his family for years to come.

Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said the team will evaluate Tua before figuring out what's next. Once he's been fully assessed then a plan for the future can be sorted out.

Shannon Sharpe is frustrated that Tua wasn't more careful -- why didn't he just slide and avoid the contact? You'd think he'd know better by now.

Ok, so what if he does decide to retire? A-to-Z Sports says he would get at least $167M from Miami for retiring due to injury.
