Syrian ambush attack
Syria in turmoil -- an ambush leaves 14 police officers dead, highlighting the intensifying conflict between rebel and Assad loyalists.

The debate over eggnog

Still, if it's not your thing, The Atlantic suggests coquito: The drink nixes the raw egg risk and goopy texture, while preserving the sweet, spicy flavor.
