Trump blames fish?

Trump points fingers at Dem leaders, including Gavin Newsom, for prioritizing a “worthless fish” over LA fire prevention and water management. Jail.com says Trump claims Newsom's environmental policies exacerbated the LA wildfires.

NY Post says Trump specifically takes aim at Newsom's protection of the delta smelt. He accused the governor of prioritizing the protection of the “worthless” fish over the residents of Southern California.

But CBS News says Newsom wasn't having it: He refuted Trump's claims on alleged water declarations, calling the accusations “pure fiction”.

For what it's worth, NY Daily News says experts aren't blaming policies for the deadly blaze -- they attribute the wildfires to dry weather and strong Santa Ana winds, exacerbated by climate change.

Meta’s moderation changes

Meta recently changes its content moderation policies -- ditching third party fact-checking for a community notes system. What's motivating the change? The WSJ Ed Board thinks the election has something to do with it: Zuck decided to reverse his decision to bend a knee to the Democratic left in light of Trump's victory.

But Meta says the change isn't motivated by politics -- the move intends to promote free speech on social media platforms. Read their official announcement of the change here.

On the other hand, The Atlantic offers a much less flattering take on what's motivating Zuck: Trump's favor. The Meta CEO is looking to flatter political bigwigs like Trump, for personal and financial gains.

National Review says the change reflects a wider trend across American tech companies, though: Zuck is following Elon's example, signaling a growing divide between tech leaders and Dem leadership.

The Free Press had yet another take on the change: It's “too little, too late”! Meta's “fact”-checking system has already undermined people's trust in the platforms.

Use a humidifier?

The Spruce says you should really be using a humidifier in the winter: Picking the perfect model can really boost your winter comfort by adding moisture to the air, preventing sinus issues.

HuffPost says humidifiers do more than help with dry skin and snoring -- they keep your home cozy for you and your pets, plus they preserve wooden furniture.

Weather.com says not all humidifiers are created equal, though: There are different types -- from evaporative to ultrasonic -- each with its own quirks and benefits like app control for ease.
