Israeli airstrikes in Beirut

CBS News: In an escalating conflict, huge Israeli airstrikes rock Beirut, targeting Hezbollah's main headquarters for a direct hit.

NPR reports that Israel's military action was a pointed effort, specifically aimed at Hezbollah's nerve center in Beirut, with official backing.

ABC News reveals that these strikes caused a hefty plume of smoke to billow over Beirut, impacting residential areas.

CNN shares insights into the timing: Netanyahu's UN speech beforehand seemed to pave the way for these assertive airstrikes.

The Wild Robot

HeartAndSoul.com says “The Wild Robot” tells a stunning story about Roz, a robot surviving on an island and learning to be human. The film combines a riveting narrative and striking animation to tackle survival, adaptation, and nature vs. tech themes.

The Wrap says animators emphasized unique artistry over typical robot-human transformations. Director Chris Sanders created a painterly style referencing Studio Ghibli, showing Roz's subtle growth rather than a big emotional shift.

Meanwhile, AWN.com appreciates how the film mixes sincerity with visual flair, taking cues from Miyazaki to craft a story dipped in technology and nature. It stuck to its book roots and won over 98% of critics on Rotten Tomatoes!

Over at Slate, they see the film as blending 2D animation for Roz to mesh into nature. Roz’s journey to a nurturing figure highlights coexistence of tech and biology against dark reality inherent in nature.
