🏳️‍🌈 Thailand’s marriage bill

Thailand's step towards legalizing same-sex marriage is sparking joy and debate, with some questioning its practical impact.

🏳️‍🌈 Thailand's House of Representatives approved a bill legalizing same-sex marriage. The NYT notes that the country is poised to be the first in Southeast Asia to recognize same-sex unions.

🏳️‍🌈 Them.us says the move is huge: A same-sex marriage bill would be a game-changer for the LGBTQ+ community in Thailand.

🏳️‍🌈 But a Redditor on r/Thailand questioned the impact: Legal marriage is no big deal in Thailand — plenty of straight couples don't bother legally registering their union.

🏳️‍🌈 Either way, The Telegraph points out that the bill isn’t law yet. The same-sex marriage bill still needs approval from the Senate.

🥔 Chips with ridges

Are potato chips better with ridges?

🥔 Potato chips without ridges are impostors, says The Kitchn. Ridged chips are stronger and just feel better in your mouth.

🥔 And ridged chips are “scientifically better” for dipping, writes Tasting Table. It's literally why they're made that way.

🥔 But a Redditor on r/UnpopularOpinion is still anti: Ridged chips are too thick, and they lack the crunch of thinner ones.

🥔 And another Redditor on r/UnpopularOpinion thinks the ridges make chips too salty.
