Iran’s fury

Iran is furious after Hassan Nasrallah, Hezbollah's leader, was killed in an Israeli airstrike. Yahoo reports on an Iranian warning that Nasrallah's death would “bring about destruction” for Israel.

The Guardian says that Nasrallah was one of Iran's key allies abroad, hinting Iran will likely retaliate to reclaim its influence in the region.

Straits Times agrees and points out that Iran is so serious about this potential backlash, they've declared a public mourning period, revealing just how pivotal Nasrallah was to their cause.

While Haaretz says Ali Khamenei has outright vowed revenge, with Iran and Hezbollah seemingly on the verge of confrontation following the airstrikes in Beirut.

SpaceX mission underway

CTV News: NASA's decision to switch from Boeing's Starliner to SpaceX for astronaut transport was driven by safety concerns following issues with the Starliner's thrusters and helium leaks. SpaceX has left to bring back astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams, who were left at the International Space Station after their planned return on Boeing's spacecraft was deemed too risky.

Yahoo says the issues made NASA switch to the reliable SpaceX Crew Dragon, now the go-to for astronaut missions to the ISS. Boeing's Starliner has faced years of hurdles and has not completed its first crewed flight test.

StarTribune: The SpaceX mission allows for the return of the two astronauts by late February after a prolonged stay, contrary to the original plan of just a one-week mission on Starliner.

Arkansas Online reports SpaceX's mission included downsized crew with empty seats to ensure safe return after Boeing's setbacks. Boeing's mishaps have had a domino effect, delaying the return of astronauts and requiring adjustments to crew assignments.
