Rogan endorses Trump
The Hindu: Joe Rogan publicly backed Donald Trump on the eve of the US election, potentially swaying crucial male voters aligned with Trump's campaign.
NDTV: Rogan's endorsement was based on a compelling case for Trump made by Elon Musk on his popular podcast, amplifying its impact.
CNN adds that Trump's team promoted Rogan's endorsement as a major win, using it strategically in their campaign efforts.
This Redditor says it was obviously coming -- seriously, did anybody think he wasn't going to do this? Not going to make much of a difference, his listeners already lean towards Trump anyway.
Paid time off for voting?
Brookings thinks election day should be a national holiday: Other democratic countries give workers the day off, and their turnout is much higher than the U.S. -- a day off would safeguard everyone's fundamental right to vote.
But a Hill Op disagrees: Voting is a right & privilege, but PTO isn't. Polls are open long enough for everyone to make it work!
For what it's worth, Fortune says 28 states require employers to give workers time off to vote…but there's no federal law that requires workers some time off on election day.
Either way, Freep says voting is a civil right essential to preserving freedoms. If you can vote, you should be voting -- period!
