Trump’s childcare plan

At an economic forum, CNN said Trump implied that his tariff plan would pay for child care costs. He acknowledged that addressing the high cost of child care is “a very important issue”.

Listen to Trump talk about childcare here.

The White House press secretary Andrew Bates wasn't impressed: He said Trump's answer made no sense. Tariffs raise prices -- including the prices associated with childcare!

A Redditor on r/AskTrumpSupporters admits Trump's answer wasn't clear -- but it's not a bad idea: Trump's hoping tariffs can pay for a government childcare program without adding to the deficit.

By the way, Newsweek says Trump and Kamala differ in their approach to childcare: Kamala has floated the idea of increasing a child tax credit, Trump suggested tariffs could offset costs.

Does Ozempic slow aging?

The BBC says researchers think that Ozempic may slow down the aging process -- thanks to its effects on heart health and disease risk reduction. Experts made the statement after several new Ozempic studies were published.

Read more about the studies here. The studies tracked more than 17.6k people.

Futurism says the findings add to the hype around Ozempic: But the hype train shows no signs of stopping -- the benefits of the drug seem to be both legit and amazing.

Still, this Redditor thinks we should approach the claims with a grain of salt: The benefits could be a result of weight loss, not Ozempic specifically.

Plus, First Post cautioned that Ozempic isn't for everyone: It's an expensive drug -- plus, plenty of people report adverse side effects.
