🏈 OJ Simpson’s legacy

🏈 Former NFL star OJ Simpson passed away at 76 after a cancer battle. BBC says his life was a mix of fame and drama after being acquitted of a double murder in 1995.

🏈 The NY Post noted that Simpson was one of the NFL greats before his trial: During his career, he led the NFL in rushing yards four times.

🏈 But Outkick says his sports glory was tainted by legal infamy: He might've been a great player, but that's not how people will remember him.

🏈 Barstool Sports thinks OJ's legacy is mixed, though: Some saw him OJ as a dark reflection of celeb culture, others saw him as a concrete part of pop culture.

🥦 The food pyramid

🥦 Should you follow the food pyramid? Weightowellness.com says it's a bit outdated; it was replaced over a decade ago. But it still has some value!

🥦 Reason says no way, and the new guide (MyPlate) sucks too. Government dietary guides are just a bad idea in general.

🥦 But Britannica thinks the food pyramid gets too much hate. It probably didn't contribute to the obesity epidemic.

🥦 Time says maybe, but food industry lobbying skewed nutritional advice away from current science. MyPlate fell victim to that big time!

🥦 Foodfix.co thinks the whole debate is uninformed. The Food pyramid was retired a while ago, and misinformation is rampant about MyPlate.
