Kamala on Oprah
Kamala Harris appeared in a virtual campaign event with Oprah. Reuters says it drew massive engagement: Kamala's campaign advisers say around 200k signed up to view the livestream.

The NYT says the emotional appeals were what made the event so effective: Harris's Oprah stint nailed her empathy-driven strategy for critical battleground states.
But Liberty Nation thought the event was a total flop: The interview lacked depth and damaged Harris's credibility.
Either way, AP News says both Trump and Kamala are making media appearances to fire up their base in the lead up to the election: Kamala sat with Oprah, and Trump attends a “Fighting Antisemitism” event.

Earth is about to get a cosmic visitor: USA Today says asteroid “2024 PT5” will circle us like a mini-moon for two months!
Space.com says to think of it like a cosmic boomerang -- it'll orbit the earth a bit, but eventually the momentum will throw it out of orbit.
