De Niro’s ad for Biden

Award-winning actor Robert De Niro narrated a Biden 2024 ad that targets Trump’s “dictator” ambitions. HuffPo says the ad is meant to highlight the stakes of the election ahead of the presidential debates.

You can watch the ad here.

Biz Pac Review slammed the ad: It's nothing but a desperate fib-fest. It features misused Trump quotes, like the “drink bleach” lie.

But NY Mag was into it: De Niro's bold Biden Ad slams Trump's antics, “Succession”-style.

And a Redditor on r/Politics thinks Biden was smart to use a celeb: De Niro's endorsement packs a punch and sways the less politically engaged.

The midlife millennial

Millennials are entering midlife, with traditional markers of success out of reach for many. The Cut says the millennial midlife crisis is about securing a stable future, not flashy symbols of youth.

The New Yorker agreed: The midlife crisis looks different for millennials -- as “All Fours” demonstrates, they're about personal reinvention.

NatGeo's take: Millennials are ditching traditional milestones in their midlife. They're valuing freedom above all else.

On a different note, The NYT says millennial moms face a midlife crisis of their own: Society's high expectations have them juggling careers with intense parenting.

But wait -- maybe the millennials aren't going through a midlife crisis at all? According to LiveNOW, 81% of the generation says they can't afford one.
