Market predicts election?

Livemint.com says the stock market may be batting for Kamala Harris: The S&P 500 has climbed 12% since August 2024, aligning with historical success for the incumbent party.

Meanwhile, Fortune points out that Harris's entry into the presidential race bumped the market up 5% -- historically, another good sign for incumbents. However, there were rare flukes in ‘68 and '80.

Economic Times says the market isn't the whole story, though: Stock trends may favor Harris, but Trump's strong polling numbers can't be dismissed!

Finally, Aljazeera questions the stock market's predictive power: In today's political climate, it's unclear if market trends can really foresee election outcomes like they used to.

ABC News says the fossil's finely preserved state is remarkable -- it lets us see features like eyes and nerves, informing us more about ancient frog life. It's great, usually frog fossils do not preserve well.
