SCOTUS and ghost guns

CBS News: The Supreme Court is currently weighing the merits of Biden’s ban on “ghost gun” kits -- which are untraceable firearms that are made from kits or 3D printers. The court is deciding whether the Bureau of ATF overstepped in its authority to regulate ghost guns.

The ruling in the case hinges on whether the firearm kits can be classified as guns. ABC says classifying gun kits as firearms is crucial for tackling rising crime tied to ghost gun use.

According to KBIA, the Biden admin agrees, arguing the regulation of ghost guns is necessary -- they pose modern-day challenges reminiscent of past mail-order firearms.

On the other hand, NBC News says challengers question the ATF’s authority in the realm of ghost guns -- and slam the ban as Congressional overreach, emphasizing the importance of DIY gun owners' rights.
