⚖ Is the Israel-Hamas hostage deal ethical?
Israel made a deal with Hamas to release some of the hostages taken on October 7th. Was it ethical to deal with Hamas?

⚖ Israel made a deal with Hamas to free 50 hostages. The Atlantic thinks it's morally questionable — it rewards Hamas for taking hostages.
⚖ Israeli politician Ben Gvir, who voted against the deal, says it's a moral failure that Israel only brought some hostages home in the deal.
⚖ But another Israeli politician, Benny Gantz, thinks freeing the hostages is a "moral imperative". If there's a chance to free someone, you take it.
⚖ It’s hard to stomach negotiating with a group that committed such brutal atrocities, notes CNN. But saving its citizens is part of Israel's "core identity" — the deal was right.
⚖ Ynet believes the hostage deal is the greatest ethical dilemma Jewish people have ever faced. It doesn't easily fit into the binary of right and wrong.
🍟 The health impact of late-night snacking
Is late-night snacking good or bad for you?

🍟 Affinity Health says late-night snacking is bad for you — it raises your obesity risk and messes with your sleep.
🍟 But 30 Day Fitness says it depends on the type of snack. Chips and ice cream are bad, for example, while Greek yogurt and oats/nuts are great.
🍟 Outside Magazine agrees — don't feel bad about a healthy late-night snack. And snacking late might actually be beneficial for competitive athletes.
🍟 EatingWell notes the importance of balance. A healthy snack could help you sleep better, but it must be in moderation.
