Controversial SNL Jeopardy skit

To celebrate the show's 50th anniversary, SNL reprised a “Black Jeopardy” skit starring Tom Hanks. The Hill says it was the show's way of taking a clever comedic jab at MAGA.
Watch the skit for yourself here.
CNN says the skit struck a nerve: The online MAGA community blasted SNL for the skit…just months after claiming Americans were “too sensitive”. How the tables have turned!
But a Washington Examiner sided with the critics: The skit's portrayal of Trump supporters falls flat and feels outdated. It goes to show that Dems still don't understand why they lost the 2024 election.
On the other hand, the National Review argues the skit wasn't really a jab at MAGA: The overarching message of the skit was about unity! Tom Hanks' MAGA character had more in common with the host of “Black Jeopardy” than he realized.

CBS says high egg prices have turned buying eggs into a luxury! Bodegas in the Bronx are selling “loose” eggs individually to accommodate customers who can't afford full cartons.
Why are prices so high? The Boston Globe blames the bird flu: An outbreak has devastated flocks and spiked prices. The uptick isn't just impacting families -- diners and restaurants have felt the blow, too.
Gothamist says price volatility in NYC is especially bad: The issue stems from supply chain issues, major farm outbreaks, and distinct sourcing strategies of retailers. NYers may have an easier time finding eggs at upscale retailers.
For what it's worth, AP News says the Trump administration is working on the issue: The admin vowed to find better ways to deal with bird flu once it's detected on a poultry farm.
