Israel strikes Hezbollah

Israel stepped up its strikes against Hezbollah in Lebanon. WSJ said the strikes on over 300 targets killed at least 100 people and injured at least 400 more. The IDF urged civilians to stay away from targeted areas.

@Israel on X says Israelis have had to deal with ongoing strikes like the ones in Lebanon for months. It vowed that “Hezbollah will pay the price for every single rocket and drone launched at Israelis”.

Still, Al Jazeera raised concerns: Lebanon's health ministry says women, children, and paramedics were injured in the attacks.

The Conversation was worried, too: Israel's actions risk escalation into an all-out war.

A Haaretz Op thinks the escalation is bad news for Iran, though: The country is forced to try and support Lebanon without plunging the region into all-out war…or face losing its grip of influence over the country.

For what it's worth, The U.S. Secretary of Defense says the U.S. is “postured” to keep the Israel-Hezbollah conflict from plunging into an all-out war.

Cuffing season

Is cuffing season -- the time when couples are created because of colder weather -- legit? HuffPo says yes, but it's overrated. Better to use the time to do some self-reflection, don't rush into a relationship out of loneliness!

AskMen doesn't think it's a real thing anymore -- daters are shifting towards self-care and away from temporary flings, especially young ones.

But Today says it's legit, and empathizes -- it's common to seek a short fling to fend off loneliness and seasonal depression.

This Redditor says it's legit, but only in our subconscious -- the holidays are a big factor, nobody wants to go to parties alone!
