4 quick hits of news from the last 24 hours
Republicans win the House
The Hill: Republicans are poised to keep their House majority, meaning they'll control the White House, Senate, and House.
270ToWin: Juan Ciscomani's reelection in Arizona likely locked in this majority -- technically 8 seats remain uncalled, but the overall majority seems inevitable.
Scripps News: Dems will be all but locked out of government for the next two years -- Republicans will be able to pass nearly anything they want, as long as they remain unified.
WSJ: It'll be a big task for the GOP though, this is the same group that collapsed when deciding on a new Speaker of the House -- Trump will have his hands full, don't expect total loyalty.
Costco’s butter recall
MyNorthwest.com says Costco has issued a massive butter recall: Nearly 80,000 pounds were pulled off the shelves. The reason? The label on the butter didn't have a “Contains Milk” warning for allergy sufferers.
Fox Business notes that the recall affected Texas consumers only.
Fox13 Seattle: Even though the recall is just Texas, the issue is countrywide. The recall is a reminder of the importance of allergen labeling across the board.
But Today.com says social media was abuzz with how silly the recall was. Many say it's just a label! It's a real waste.
AOL, on the other hand, thinks that missing allergy labels aren't just minor oversights but critical errors emphasizing consumer safety, especially with common allergens like milk!
