China’s “rotten tail kids”
CNBC says China's youth unemployment rate jumped above 17% in July -- it's the highest rate the country's seen since December.
Reuters says the phenom is creating “rotten tail kids”: AKA young graduates who are forced into low-paying jobs or to live off their parents.
The Atlantic Council says China's youth unemployment crisis has been brewing for some time now: The government's slow response risks economic downturn.
On the other hand, Newsweek says Chinese media is describing the country's employment as “largely stable”: It blamed the high unemployment rate on a “seasonal” swarm of newly-graduated students.
