Iran’s pre-election plot
Iranian agents had a plot to kill Trump before the election. The FBI ultimately thwarted the plan. The NYT says the plot was part of broader Iranian efforts to target U.S. citizens and dissidents critical of Tehran's regime.
Read the DOJ's press release here. Three individuals face charges, with Farhad Shakeri leading the deadly plot.
WaPo adds that the plot came to a standstill after Shakeri failed to devise a valid plan pre-election. He said his handlers believed Trump would lose the 2024 election, and decided it would be easier to assassinate him once he lost.
Politics aside, @MilesTaylorUSA calls for strong consequences: This is a big deal -- we can't let Iran get away with this.
ChatGPT vs. Google
Aleydasolis.com: ChatGPT is better for informational searches thanks to its conversational style, making queries like “how to learn SEO for free” a breeze. But it struggles in e-commerce compared to Google.
Life Hacker generally agrees: ChatGPT impresses with AI summaries, Google's sheer breadth and integration, especially for shopping and location services, are still unmatched.
Forbes: ChatGPT is all about direct answers. But if you want broad results, exploration, and discovery, go to Google.
While Toms Guide is into ChatGPT's clutter-free experience. They found it so effective they switched from Google to ChatGPT entirely!
The Indian Express agrees: ChatGPT might actually dethrone Google. The personalized and real-time interactions within its chat interface make finding info quicker and more intuitive.
