Harris’s short campaign
If nominated, Kamala Harris will have only three months to campaign for president. Vox says this short timeline could help her by keeping her fresh in voters' minds.
Politico: But she doesn't have much time to establish herself -- or time to properly attack Trump.
RealClearPolicy: True, but that means Trump will have less time to attack her. It could help her avoid mudslinging.
The Hill: Josh Hawley disagrees, she already has a public image. Republicans can use many of the same talking points they used against Biden.
LA Times: It's definitely new territory -- if she is to succeed, she'll need Biden's old team to keep the machine running and give her a lot of trust.

Researchers found cocaine in sharks off the coast of Brazil. Scientific American says it's unknown how coke affects sharks -- this is new territory.
NYT: Uh, that's terrifying. Many already fear shark attacks, this just adds more fuel to the fire.
BBC says it raises environmental concerns -- maybe people are dumping coke off the shore?
The Guardian thinks it's actually untreated sewage. It also looks like the sharks' eyesight is affected by the cocaine -- this has to stop.
New York Post: It's all just theories at this point -- many on the internet are guessing wildly, and joking about a sequel to “Cocaine Bear”.
1) An oil spill near Manila amid Typhoon Gaemi's destruction prompts a race against time to avert an environmental catastrophe.
2) Simone Biles aims to add a new uneven bars skill to her repertoire at the Paris Olympics, marking her sixth named move.
3) Son of “El Chapo” and Sinaloa Cartel co-founder “El Mayo” arrested in Texas, facing charges over fentanyl.
4) California's largest wildfire this year, ignited by a burning car, has led to the arrest of a suspect.
