🇷🇺 After changing the constitution to extend his rule, Putin has started his fifth term. The Times says it's marked by increasing authoritarianism and international isolation.

🇷🇺 BBC: Putin's fifth term cements “Putinism” — as he vows to lead Russia to victory and unity.

🇷🇺 Al Jazeera notes that the US and EU snubbed the inauguration, while Putin stood defiant.

🇷🇺 While MSN says the EU had been initially divided about attending. Some worried that skipping would only make Russia's authoritarianism worse.

🇷🇺 TheStar: No matter how you slice it, Putin has more control than ever. These next five years are likely to see more focus on the military and on silencing dissent.

🏕️ Boy Scouts —> Scouting America

🏕️ The Boy Scouts are changing their name to “Scouting America” to make sure “everyone feels welcome”. Axios says the move comes after the organization's decision to accept girls in 2019.

🏕️ This blogger celebrated the move: Scouting America is embracing an inclusive future.

🏕️ But PJ Media lamented the change: The Boy Scouts have fallen victim to “wokeness”. The name change is a misguided attempt at inclusivity.

🏕️ Either way, the Washington Examiner noted the change won't kick in right away: “Scouting America” goes into effect in early 2025.
