Singapore’s new PM

As Singapore transitions to new leadership with Lawrence Wong, The Economist says it's time for a political evolution to sustain the nation's success.

Financial Times: Wong must navigate social divides and global tensions --even given all the success Singapore has had.

Bloomberg agrees: Wong faces a tough act to follow.

SCMP: One of Singapore's biggest issues is its birth rate and aging population. Also, prices are too high.

While Bloomberg says Wong must prioritize compassion. He's got the background for it!

Boot Butker?

Harrison Butker, the Chiefs kicker, delivered a graduation address. In the aftermath, The Daily Beast said 100K+ demanded his firing for “sexist, homophobic, anti-transgender, anti-abortion, and racist” comments.

Outkick: Predictably, the “woke mob” is coming for Butker. But he's not going anywhere -- the NFL's meritocracy will save him.

ARedditor on r/Sports said: “I’d like it if players lost their jobs for beating their wives and girlfriends. Not sure how this is worse”.

An SF Chronicle Op thinks Butker's not going anywhere -- which reveals the league's double standards. Remember Kaepernick?

An NY Post Op's take: Disagree with Butker all you want, but don't silence him. That's the American thing to do.
