💼 What comes next for WeWork?

In the aftermath of WeWork's quick rise and fall, people speculate what the future holds for the company, and for flexible workspaces at large.

💼 Once a darling of the startup world, WeWork filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in November. The WSJ blamed the fall from grace on investors getting blinded by the startup's “tech” label.

💼 The Financial Times says WeWork went bankrupt because it couldn't keep up with the times. It's a lesson on the importance of flexibility.

💼 Still, Zach Hewitt on Room thinks WeWork's fall doesn't mean coworking spaces are dead. WeWork’s idea wasn't the issue — it was the long-term leases.

💼 And Bloomberg speculates on a post-bankruptcy rebirth for WeWork: If the company shifts gears to support hybrid work, the future looks bright.

🩰 Is “balletcore” problematic?

Balletcore is blowing up on TikTok, but it's not all tutus and twirls. Critics say it ignores ballet's exclusionary history, but others disagree.

🩰 Glamour is into balletcore — a dancer-inspired aesthetic that's all about tights, tutus, and pinks. It's the perfect “soft feminine” vibe.

🩰 But Bishop's Tower says balletcore is problematic: It glosses over the prevalence of eating disorders and racism within ballet.

🩰 On the other hand, maybe that's changing? Refinery29 thinks that modern-day balletcore is redefining the past aesthetics associated with ballet.

🩰 Either way, if you want to give balletcore a whirl, Stylist offers some tips to nail the look.
