Hurricane Helene hits Georgia

Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida's Big Bend region -- but Wyff4 says Georgia felt the impact, too: Heavy rain from Hurricane Helene is causing North Georgia's worst flooding in the modern era.

CobbCounty.org urged residents to stay alert: Helene flood warnings means North Georgia residents need to stay on the look out for real-time weather updates.

CNN says Helene has already weakened, though: The combo of heavy rains and winds is dangerous, though.

Either way, the Weather Channel says Helene is moving northeast -- and it could bring tornadoes in its wake.

A 3D-printed hotel

Texas hotel El Cosmico is undergoing an expansion to become the world's first 3D-printed hotel by 2026. The Daily Star says the place uses Icon's Vulcan printer and Lavacrete for stunning designs.

Ask Woody says the project's a big one: El Cosmico is expanding to include 43 hotel units and 18 homes -- all with the help of 3D printing.

Market Screener says it's a win for sustainability: The 21-acre El Cosmico site uses an industrial-size 3D printer to make large-scale, sustainable structures a reality.

Yahoo Finance says it's a win for affordability, too: Cosmico's innovation shows 3D printing's growing acceptance in building hotels and homes affordably.
