Hulk Hogan at the RNC
Hulk Hogan fired up the crowd by declaring “Trumpamania” at the RNC. Newsweek says he called Trump his hero in his speech.
You can watch the full speech -- and Hogan ripping his shirt off -- here.
@Alyssafarah on X: Joke about it all you want, but bringing Hogan on stage was a good move. He will resonate with millions and dominate social media.
But Newsweek said there was plenty of mockery on social media -- specifically about Trump blowing an air-kiss to Hogan after his speech.
For what it's worth, The Independent says Hogan's appearance made sense -- given Trump's of embracing a pro-wrestler persona on the campaign trail.
The $45M skeleton
Billionaire Ken Griffin bought a $44.6 million stegosaurus skeleton. MarketWatch says he plans to keep the 11-foot-high skeleton dubbed “Apex” in the U.S.
@RobinWigg on X gets it: “If i was a multi-billionaire this is exactly the kind of stuff” I'd be buying -- forget homes and yachts.
A Bloomberg Op says Griffin's $45m buy will tempt fossil hunters: The profit incentive could inspire fossil hunters to dig up more dinos.
By the way, “Apex” was the most valuable fossil ever sold at auction. The NYT says Phyllis Kao, the auctioneer behind the sale, made the auction into a kind of performance.
